Bakery Court is a development of supported accommodation for 12 adults, owned by Norwich Consolidated Charities and managed by Julian Housing Support. The Project is funded by ‘Supporting People’, Norwich PCT and by Norfolk Social Services who also monitor the Project.
The Building

The development consists of twelve high quality self-contained flats. All accommodation is fully furnished and equipped. In addition to their own private living space residents can also use the communal facilities: conservatory, sitting room, laundry, kitchen and gardens.

Staffing
The scheme is staffed 24 hours a day with one person providing sleep in cover overnight. A staff team comprising of the Project Manager, 1 full-time and 6 part-time project workers support the tenants
Length of stay
There is no time limit on the length of stay – the scheme provides long term security in a supported environment for some of the most vulnerable people in the community.
Support

The development is unique in that the care and support offered to individuals can be tailored to their specific needs and adjusted if and when those needs change. All tenants are allocated a named worker who will oversee the support provided by Bakery Court and liaise with health and social work professionals to ensure that we work to agreed care plans.

Referrals
As vacancies seldom arise we do not hold a waiting list. Initial expressions of interest should therefore be directed to the Norwich Social Services team manager who will be notified when a vacancy arises.
